Yo type 2s. Went to my doc this week - he's the best in the world, has saved my life in a few ways - and got 12 months of prescriptions and a look at my recent skin tag end removals around my neck.
Because I got fat steadily over the years, I got lots and lots of those gross little skin tags around my neck, and under each arm. We're talking dozens. I finally had him take off some: about 25. First, he freezes each one by needle injection, then snips it, then cauterizes the wound with an electric thing. Ever heard and smelled your own flesh burn? Not nice.
Being diabetic, they heal more slowly, and thru Christmas, my sugars were up - still are, and so it was even slower. I have some cream that costs $48 for a small tube that keeps away infection - an antibiotic. I'll do each armpit in March or so, one at a time.
My sugar levels are at 8 - 12, which is really high for me. Too much cheating and rationalizing. I've been doing a few minutes on the recumbent bike each morning, and some arm weight exercises to try to build muscle back - I feel weak in shoulders and arms. I hold my heart rate at 140 for a couple minutes to work up a sweat. It actually feels good, a bit.
So, my sugar at the doc 2 hours after breakfast was 10.6, lousy, but my bp was 115/75 which is really good for a fat prick like me. You gotta take support where you can.
I'm thinking of signing up at Sure Slim in March. Their diet is severe, I probably can't do it,but even if I do 75%, I should lose some serious weight. I hope.
I've treated you to a shot of my ugly craters from the skin tag surgery. Bye for now, take care of yourself, no one else will.
